In the summer of 1990, my brother and I viewed the only airing of an unsold CBS pilot entitled “Shangri-La Plaza”.  At the time I was five and was completely enamored by this Terrence Mann-helmed project.  Actually, I just liked the theme song and there were bright colors.  Anyway, my brother somehow stumbled upon the imdb page of this long-forgotten gem.  Because of it’s rarity, we hadn’t been able to find anyone else that knew about it.  Fruitless posts on early 90s nostalgia message boards had turned up nothing.  Now, thanks to the power of youtube.com and our nerdy proclivity for researching ridiculous moments in pop culture, I present the very shittily compressed online video of….

    I made it through most of the intro and was filled with an insanely creepy feeling… how you have an affinity for this beast is startling!
